PF Changs culinary journey traces back to the 1960s, when co-founder Philip Chiang honed his passion for authentic Chinese cuisine whilst working at his mother Cecilia Chiang’s renowned restaurant, The Mandarin. Cecilia is celebrated as a pioneer in bringing authentic Chinese food to America. Philip later simplified the menu for the American palate while running the restaurant and opened Mandarette to offer simple, delicious food to his artist friends. The restaurant’s global success story began when Philip met Paul Fleming, a frequent guest at Mandarette, who was so impressed with Philip’s recipes that they joined forces to create PF Changs – the unexpected Asian food phenomenon we all love today. PF Changs is now poised to captivate India with its inaugural restaurant, marking the dawn of a gastronomic revolution in the country.
